It has started to get really cold this past week. I have noticed lots of beanies, gloves and coats coming out in the morning.
Thank you for checking to make sure your child's name is on their items. This makes it much easier for us to return items once the day warms up and layers come off.
The book and a blanket area in the hall is being used more frequently as the weather becomes colder.

Huon and Channel Cross Country
Wednesday 22 May was the annual Huon and Channel Cross country event. With a few away due to illnesses, our team of 29 made our way over to the Huon recreation grounds where we competed in the C division against other Huon schools.
Prior to the races, we walked the track to make sure all runners knew the course and the first race started at 11am.
All the students ran their best and persevered, even though exhausted. The following ribbons were awarded on the day:
- Year 3 girls Vera O’toole (3rd), Indie Van Dippen (4th).
- Year 4 girls Bindy Lowe (2nd), Emily Perkins (3rd).
- Year 5 girls, Lily Ikin (2nd), Sophie Dewhurst (3rd).
- Grade 6 girls, Belle Perkins (2nd) and Indika Urquhart (4th)
- Year 4 boys, Kyrie Parkenson (4th).
- Year 5 boys Ezra Stevenson (4th).
A huge shout out to Sophie for running as a year 5 and coming (3rd) and Kyrie for running as a year 4 and coming (4th).
Another shout out to year 2’s Cruze Watson (6th) and Reuben Kowaluk (10th) who ran as year 3’s to make a whole team.
All in all, the day was a great success, all students represented the school with pride. Thanks to all who supported this day.
